With Jacinda’s announcements yesterday we are thrilled that we are getting closer towards having everyone back at school, although we need to wait until Monday 11 May to hear exactly when this will be and what this will look like for schools. What we do know is that if NZ moves to Alert Level 2 next week, schools will re-open the following Monday and we are working towards this now, in readiness.
Following the Monday 11 May announcement, expect to receive 2 key communications from us within the next 24-48 hours:
An ultra-quick YES / NO survey asking whether your child will be Returning to school/Staying at home on the first return day under Alert Level 2.
A guide for parents as to what Alert Level 2 will look like at Rewa Rewa School for students and their families e.g. arrivals/adults onsite/health and safety protocols/classroom seating etc.
In the meantime, we will continue to follow the protocols that we have in place for Alert Level 3 for the week of Monday 11 – Friday 15 May, i.e. only those who need to be at school should be there. Notification of this must be received via email to firstname.lastname@example.org) before 7pm the night before so that we can roster staff to be onsite. Due to the huge amount of ongoing goodwill of all of our families, no students are currently at school.
In anticipation of seeing you all again very soon, keep well.
